Looks like it could possibly be a Mottled Cochin.

I dont think it would be mottled with what seems to be buff down. I would bet on cochin, but not sure of the variety.

They are black Australorp chicks. I have two of them myself. The do look like penguins when they are chicks but will be solid black as hens.

It wouldn't be an australorp because of the feathering on the legs... but it may be either black or mottled cochin. I am still trying to figure out the adult colouring of some i just hatched so I am no help to you there!
