Can I just collect eggs everyday from allowing my hen to go broody..the if I was doing this I am not eating baby chicks right?

As long as you collect the eggs daily, you will not be 'eating baby chicks'. If they are from a broody breed, hens will go broody even if there is no rooster in the flock. Just as a rooster is not needed for egg laying, he is not needed for the hens to go broody.

Can you encourage broodiness by not collecting eggs? My hens aren't laying right now the only hen I know of that is still laying is my speckled sussex.
