I once had a possum run right past my foot. It may have brushed it. I forget. We can't even shoot anything with a gun where I live. This is because we live right next to a darn kids park. Arg! I've been here longer than that confounded kids park! I should be able to shoot critters if we want to!

Lol since i have cats i don't get any mice...my Manx hates rats and mice and he goes ballistic on them....He loves his treat when get catches one though, a can of tuna.

When I lived in TX, we had all sorts of critters sharing the old house with my sweetheart and me. Bats, mice, snakes, raccoons, chickens, you name it. No rats, cats liked them a lot. Had a possum or two in the kitchen many a night. The topper was probably the day a cow wandered into the kitchen. I fed her apples with cream cheese. She helped prepare dinner, then moseyed on home.
I will never forget the look on sweethearts face when he came home and saw a cow in the kitchen, discussing recipes with me.
