If you could be an animal for just one day - what would you be and why?





I would be an eagle - soaring high
For miles and miles - across the sky
Free as any one could ever hope to be
An eagle - majestic, that's me!!

I would be a Peregrine falcon - just for the exhilaration of the stoop.

I would be an owl of some sort. Great Horned owls are my favorite. I would think flying silently through the woods at night would be exhilarating, and even though I try not to anthropomorphize animals, I do secretly like to think they enjoy it!

I will always remember whilst out walking one morning - twas still dark (there were one or 2 streetlights on) and this owl flew past me - it must have been about 4 feet away from me. I was amazed by it's beauty and silence.
It was so graceful.

I think it was a barn owl

I'm not sure what other kinds of owls live on our Island.
