"If their is no rooster how do your hens lay eggs" ?

The question I get after I tell people I have chickens:

"Well, I couldn't eat your eggs. Eating babies. Ugh!"

Um, I don't have a rooster. Didn't your mother explain ... ?

"I'm just going to keep getting my eggs from the market. I can't think about eating babies."

Um-kay.
