last year i had my babies in our chicken shed running loose. i went in to feed them and giving them water and just as i went to step down from losing my balance i stepped on one! it ran under my foot because they would all come to me!! it was gross and horrible. I did kill it even though i tried to pull my foot back up really fast. The next time i went in i shuffled my feet on the ground to prevent it. Point is we all make mistakes we just learn from them.

Many years ago I rescued a 2 day old kitten, fed it for a month with a doll baby bottle, wiped its butt, all that stuff.... then closed the front door on it....
