If you are up and online on Thanksgiving Morning

What are you doing this morning?

I have been up since 6am. Didn't get to bed last night until after midnight. My turkey is in the oven. The deep fryer is almost ready for the other turkey.

I have all of my dinner just about finished except for the final baking. I have one pumpkin pie left to get into the oven.

I am sipping my coffee. In about 15 minutes will wake the house up and get people busy with last minute chores. I have 17 guests coming for dinner today.

Our family is traveling today about 3.5 hours away. I am doing my final laundry, and I don't have to cook this year. We have reservations to eat out there. I love cooking family dinners like this though. I won't mind not cleaning up the mess though.

I have been up since 4:40 or so, our dogs woke us up. My female is in heat and my male wants her. She just had a litter in August so don't really want her to have anymore.

Well, I, too am sitting sipping my coffee. We are driving an hour and a half for Thsnksgiving lunch at my moms house for lunch and then Thanksgiving dinner at my in laws. We are going to stuffed. At the moment I am boiling water to make baked mac n' cheese to take along. My kids are watching Jackie Chan- so I am on BYC!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
I got up at 4 and have to be at work at 6. I work at Safeway (supermarket) and will be there to meet the needs of all those who forgot that "one" thing or who need those fresh baked rolls and pies that the wonderful bakers at our store have been there all night to bake for you!
I will be off at noon, however and DH is deep frying a turkey.
While he is doing that, I will throw some other stuff together, then I am going to bed. LOL
It has been a brutal week at work and I will be glad to have the weekend and next week off for vacation.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
Have had about 2 hrs sleep. Put our 49 lb bird in at 10:20 pm last night. She's looking really good. Have about 30 guest coming today. If you want to see how big the bird was before we put her in the oven see the post Thanksgiving Turkey.

Happy Thansgiving to everyone, chickens included --hopefully all pardoned from being the main attraction today!!!

I cooked everything but the turkey and ham yesterday so I will use my warming trays for all that food today and my oven for the bird & ham. Way too much food I'm sure but kind of fun to look forward to all the leftovers!! The dressing is my favorite!! I just hope no one notices all the corners with little spoon sized places missing in my trays from all the taste testing, haha!!

Hopefully everyone will be grateful for all they have today and reflect on how fortunate they are regardless of what they don't have. It's sad for me not to have that as my foremost thought all year long but this time of year it sure is the thing we are reminded of most --maybe I'll work on that as a resolution for next year. Anyway....hope ever meal turns out exactly as planned and lots of families are together today that otherwise wouldn't have been ...and of course, all chickens get great leftovers!!

i got up at 7am (its now 7:54) and went and woke the chickens and fed them, let the dogs out, fed them too and threw in a load of laundry. We are having a late Thanksgiving and having it here at home. My MIL and neighbors are coming for dinner. We decided that this year we are gonna have a "festive" Thanksgiving rather than a formal one. Buffet stle meal, bon fire out back and games and drinks! Yee-Ha!

Yes up at the crack of dawn here. Was gonna hunt but its too cold for old people to be out so sitting here keeping warm after yard duties, and low and behold MissPrissy is at it already(the cookin I mean)
