Yes, the American type Langshan is a bit different from the Croad Langshan, both in type and egg color, but is called Croad by some even though the American Langshan is distinct as is the German, as is the Australian from what I understand. I just want the strain that lays the plum colored eggs, which our American Langshan do not...
 
I belong to the Brabanter club on Facebook, as well as the Appenzeller Spitzhauben club. Many Brabanter owners also have Spitzhaubens. We were agreeing last night that it is harder to find good Brabanters in this country than it is to find good Spitzhaubens. I would really like to see someone import good Brabanters, especially the chamois.
