If you could live anywhere in the US...

I don't think I would live anywhere else but Maine. I like the four seasons. I like the quiet. I like the people. I like the ocean. Maybe not the taxes so much. We have ugly taxes.

If the question had been anywhere in the world I would pick Australia. A friend of ours went there and told us his wonderful stories. Canada is great too. It's a lot like Maine in many places.

I would like to move to the Oregon coast. Like Coos Bay. It gives you a combination of beautiful CLEAN beach and evergreens ! I lived in Eugene Ore. for 10 years and I miss it.

I have two grown daughters in Portland so I would be close but not to close.

I was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Too dry, good corn, rattlesnakes. I lived in Rivers, Manitoba - not there anymore, Edmonton, Alberta - really toooooo cold - Osgoode, Merivale Gardens, Oakville and Ottawa all in Ontario - OK especially the Ottawa Valley but too far from the ocean. I lived in Colorado Springs too (gorgeous back when I lived there but a bit too crowded now) and Vancouver Island, BC (very dramatic but not my cup of tea) and we went everywhere AND I'm like most here - I like where I live now in Nova Scotia on a property pretty darn close to the ocean where I can go out in our bay on a canoe and I might see a whale and I can go back in the woods and I might see a buck. People don't have much and that makes them friendlier if you ask me. I would like a winter home in Tuscany though if you have one on offer.

Right here in Western WA. I love every bit of it. Great wonderful things for us to do as a family and not too hot or too cold (well, except for a few weeks). Where we are, you are no more than 2 hrs from everything...skiing, hiking, fishing, white water rafting, mountain climbing, sailing, personal planes, airport, gambling, diving, sky diving, camping, rock/jem hunting, car races, shopping, Seattle, dancing, movies, dining, fair grounds, car shows, hunting, city, country (where we are), and don't think I missed anything.

I've lived from Seattle to Maine, from Florida to California and many places in between. If I had to pick one place to live until I die - that would be easy:

The Mogollon Rim region of Arizona.

2nd choice: Florida Keys.

It's gotta be the South for me. I've lived in OH, KY, PA and VA and I love the South!

Great iced tea in every restaurant even fast food
Southern Manners - every man woman and child says "ma'am" and "sir" and holds doors for each other. Men still tip their hats to a lady.
Long growing season
Winters are mild
Summers are a little warm for me, but not unbearable
Lots of country folk

Our neck of the woods is beautiful and we love it here.
