Pensacola Beach, Florida. My first time visiting Florida-we went there last year on vacation. I still get chills thinking about the views, the beautiful water, white sandy beaches, seashell hunting....
I grew up in the Mojave Desert of California. We could walk to the beautiful Colorado River. I think I learned to swim before I could walk-had to be in the water somehow, to keep cool when it easily reached the 100 and teens temperature.
I loved to go out in the desert, exploring, rock hunting, catching lizards, etc. I have nothing like that up here :| The Big Sioux *smirk* river is a muddy creek, ick. I would love to be back in the desert again. No, I can't complain, because we do have our own place out in the country, and I can have my chickens and my horses, but I do miss the scenery and "things to do" out there. I am thankful for what we have.
