If you could live anywhere in the US...

Any where that has everything i want, lots of land, but close to nice people, a house or farm that has history, nice warm summers and cold winters. maybe a river with trout and some freedom, a nice view of some mountains, and close to a city/town for my job (pilot), but no flight path. I dream on...

Near the Mountains like I am now, but with just a little more land and....much less humidity in the summers& with smaller insests!!

Pensacola Beach, Florida. My first time visiting Florida-we went there last year on vacation. I still get chills thinking about the views, the beautiful water, white sandy beaches, seashell hunting....

I grew up in the Mojave Desert of California. We could walk to the beautiful Colorado River. I think I learned to swim before I could walk-had to be in the water somehow, to keep cool when it easily reached the 100 and teens temperature.

I loved to go out in the desert, exploring, rock hunting, catching lizards, etc. I have nothing like that up here :| The Big Sioux *smirk* river is a muddy creek, ick. I would love to be back in the desert again. No, I can't complain, because we do have our own place out in the country, and I can have my chickens and my horses, but I do miss the scenery and "things to do" out there. I am thankful for what we have.

This is a good thread and kinda fun!

I think it would be fun to be able to have more than one place....maybe one in the midwest during the nice weather and then another to the south when the the cold wind starts to blow!

I live in the lush green Allegheny Mts. of WV..... lots of rivers and streams,....fishing, hunting, recreation abound.... 3 ski resorts in alittle over an hours distance...great weather.....this is home forever........

The Pacific Northwest is very appealing to me, although I have never been there. I like rain and overcast and moderate temps.

Only part of the PNW is like that. If you live east of the Cascade mountain range, it is dry. That's where I live and we have MUCH less rain than Portland/Seattle, etc. See?
