Australorps and Silkies! Since Guineas and Turkeys aren't chickens then I could have a flock of each. The man who delivered sand for the runs said Silkies weren't chickens they were rodents so since they're unlimited I'll have ten Australorps for my chickens. Plus all of their babies which don't count as chickens until they lay. I'm getting good at chicken math!
But seriously Australorps and Silkies are gentle. Aussies lay well and are good meat birds and the roosters almost never ever fought--we processed all but one yesterday--and the Silkies are cute! Even when the roosters spar they look like two balls of dryer lint chest bumping. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they're extremely tame or just can't see you coming!
