If you have just started getting eggs...

are you looking forward to taking a basket to collect eggs in?
We got one egg for a few days, then we got two eggs all last week and for the last three days we have got 3 eggs. I have 10 hens. So now as I am walking to the coop I am looking forward to when I need a basket to collect the eggs in.
How about you, does this excite any one?

Very much so! I have my basket all ready at the door with a neatly folded old-fashioned flour sack in it. Once my girls go in their permanent coop (this week sometime), I'll be taking it out to the nesting boxes with me. I can't wait to see all the colors altogether in the basket!

I don't think we'll ever need to take a basket out to collect eggs...since we (either me or my kids) run out to the nest boxes like every 15 minutes

We never have more than 1 or 2 eggs to collect...several times per day...

I can't wait until I need a basket! I had an egg basket years ago, and I got tired of having it around the kitchen, and sold it at a garage sale! Who knew

Oh yeah! We had 4 eggs for the 1st time yesterday. I could have brought them in by hand, but I had to use our basket just to show off a little.

We always used the food container at mums so I'll probably do that with mine too.... fill with grain, feed, fill with eggs, take inside...

I use the green containers that they sell strawberries in at the farmers market. I love them. Or I use a really pretty colander and gather eggs and veggies from the garden at the same time. But I will need to get a nice basket one of these days.

ROFL.............. this is just too funny. I thought I may be the only one who couldnt wait to use my egg basket. All set up with a pretty little napkin. My husband just laughs at me when he see's me carrying two eggs in my basket. LOL
Oh and when I am at work... I also call home to find out..
"Any eggs yet?? Go Check! And feel free to use my basket."
