I agree also that Legbars are great. These are my second choice but they are some that I will always have some of. Do you have any pictures of yours?

Swedish flower hens are a great choice as well. We'd like to have a few. So hardy and beautiful, definitely an excellent option.

We have 5 cream legbar pullets, plus a cockerel that covers them and a few black copper marans for olive eggers. The only good recent photos I have are of one of our pullets around 5 months old. booted bantams they are so beautiful and very funny i have Stormy Thunder Lightening and Cookie they are so funny the play lets see who can scare the dogs the worst and then run away its crazy funny to watch

Like my New Hampshire Bantam.
Good dual purpose bantam.
Found them to be decent layers and have a surprisingly amount meat for Bantam.
Mine have three purposes: exhibition eggs and meat.
They take up a fraction of space to house and the feed difference is unbelievable.
