We share the squashes/pumpkins. We grow way more than we can use ourselves. In our home garden we are growing 7 varieties of pumpkins with several plants per variety.
I wouldn't plant anything from the nightshade family inside the coop. Outside, sure, and they'll love any peppers and tomatoes you toss their way. For the person who asked, I have been giving my chickens garden scraps including "spicy pepper guts" (which they LOVE) and haven't noticed anything affect the egg flavor. There are a few things they won't eat like celery leaves and most of the herbs. But if you plant something like radishes or beets, they'll eat the whole thing.
