My aunt did that to her cat when she was a kid. Unfortunatly the cat wasn't as lucky as yours was.

Imagine if the kitten was in the dryer for the whole cycle! That would be one fluffy kitty!

One thanksgiving we were finishing up supper and could not find one of our cats. Strange, since he was always begging for scraps durring dinners. No one had seen him in hours! We all started looking around while dad was cleaning up and washing, drying, and putting away dishes. Needless to say dad found the cat.
He pulled out the drawer below the stove to put the turkey pan back, and out came Poxito. He was so hot, stressed, and panting. He had been there the entire time the turkey was cooking!!! We rushed him into the bathroon and placed him in a tepid bath, then gradually cooled the water little by little. Needless to say he was fine after the cool-down and a long night's rest.

ETA- Pox lost his voice long before that infamous Thanksgiving, that's why he never "cried out for help"

Back before my Siamese went to the rainbow bridge, I had to have a sign on the washing machine, laundry basket, and dryer stating 'check for cat'.

You'd think after the first dozen times she'd stop sleeping in those places, but nooooooooooooo...... Fortunately for her she had the distinct Siamese yowl and always managed to alert us to her predicament before suffering any lasting harm.

But then, her kid used to sleep in the bathtub and sinks, and heaven help you if you turned the water on while he was there.
