So, I'm going into year two of my lifetime awaited chicken husbandry. Year one was so fun and exciting. Year two is every bit as exciting, but slightly more educated. I'm not interested in showing, at least not at this point, but have narrowed down a few breeds I want to focus on. Still a hatchery boy, at this point - cheaper learning curve. I am free ranging. Breeds I have decided to focus on are Delaware, Marans, Speckled Sussex & Salmon Faverolles. Any suggestions? I'm not high tech enough to have separate breeding pens yet. I also want to have some fun mutts, just for the unexpected excitement.
