Well, jeez. I don't think anyone ever told me that there were determinate and indeterminate types of potatoes, what the difference was, and how to grow them. Now I'm sure most of you know this, but on the off chance that someone else is struggling as I have been - this is the first year I've ever tried my hand at growing potatoes, and both NewBoots and I are learning. Learning lots. At any rate, I found this excellent article and I hope that sharing it will help someone else. Now I simply have to Google "best potatoes to grow in Oregon", compare the list with determinate types, and hopefully next year's harvest will be much better! https://www.gardeningdream.com/the-ultimate-list-of-determinate-and-indeterminate-potatoes/

I’m not sure what I did to luck out with my potatoes. This is my first time ever growing them, grown lots of other veggies, but never potatoes until now. We have raised beds and I grabbed whatever was available at my local “feed and seed” type of store. Thanks for posting the article... rounded knowledge is good knowledge! 👍

This is our harvest so far! I’m planning to get the rest out and stored in the next few days.
