We need some more information to get an idea.

What does your set up look like, any pictures you can provide?

Where do you keep them?

What kind of bedding do they have?

What is the temperature inside the brooder and is it big enough for the chicks to get away from the heat source?

How many are they and what exactly are you feeding?

Where did you get the chicks? Were they all sourced from the same supplier?

they are on straw in a stable which we used to use for horses the stable is quite big so they can get away from the heat source there are five chicks but only one is poorly we are feeding them chick crumb which is crushed up layers pellets and they are home bread and came from our incubator

Get them chick starter crumbles or an all flock feed containing 18-20 % protein. Layer feed provides too much calcium for chicks and lacks in proper amount of protein which leaves them malnourished.
