Ok she was alittle quit yesterday just sitting in the morning in the afternoon she seem to keep her head on her back like it was a broken neck but she ate had some water and went back to just sitting quit i didn't think to much about it because it was cold out this morning I found her near the nesting boxes laying on the floor with her head on her back I put her in a box with hot water bottle and hay didn't want anything to do with being pick up she would flap her wings and kick but her head would always be twisted onto her back even when she went in the box she tried to twist her head on to her back I did give her some water with a little molasses in it her bottom looks messy and like she trying to push somthing out and Ideas what this is.

she is very still now just laying their I'm just leaving her alone she seems more peaceful if i try to pick her up she gets upset and swaks I'll give her some water every few hours and keep her warm and hope that she makes it. she has no swelling or gasping

I hope she's ok. Also make sure she's seperated from the other birds so that she's not picked on. Chickens can be surprisingly reslient

Yup she is in my feed shed I feel soo bad for her I wish i new what was wrong

just went out to give her heating pad and some water and she had died

looks to me she had stuck she was kinda red in the vent. Boy that was fast yesterday fine in the morning just sitting on roost to last night having her head twisted on her back but eating too this morning not being able too move at all laying on floor and by tonight gone. I did get a funny membrane the other day didn't know who it was from.
I'm soo sad poor young pullet I wish i knew how to have treated her.although she wouldn't let me pick her up she freak out .

just a few things it could have been:
a vitamin deficiency
some form of Botulism from eating or drinking something bad
aspergilliosis
some sort of infection that went toxic.

sorry she died.

They sure get sick fast, don't they?

Sometimes things just happen so fast, that we just cannot do anything about it. It is frustrating to be unable to help them.
I am so sorry your hen died.
