I'll leave home tomorrow and i need an info

Okay, maybe i'm seeing all from the worst perspective.

problem 1
weather previsions give minimum temperatures as:
4°,6°,4°,1°
my coop is made of wood, so it is quite insulated.
maybe the water isn't a problem so big, even if i'm wondering too much

problem 2
it's true that i didn't gave her kale today and yestarday but i gave some artichockes (thhat contains lot of iron) leaves this morning to all the flock.

What do you think, am i panicking too much?

Hi Waves, I think you're chickens probably will be fine if you have done this before. Leaving them alone for 4 days.

I never leave my chickens alone for more then a day. I ask a neighbor to keep an eye on them once a day and give food. My neighbors all like to take care if I leave home for holidays. In return they get the eggs and I take care of cats, dog or pig (depending on the neighbor) if they are away for a while.

My chickens don't like the black cabbage (cavolo nero). They rather eat grasses and herbs.

If it freezes sometimes during the day where you live, its better to have a waterwarmer on electricity. Alternative is to give greens that contain much water like green salad, cucumber and chopped carrots. And give fresh water in the morning. Change the water if it freezes a lot during the day.

Thank you :)
Sorry, i have nobody that can care for them.
But they have done it sometimes so i am positive :)

To summarize,
About the water:
Is it better to
1) leave the ACV in the metallic waterer only for 4 days
2) remove the ACV and rely on predicted temperatures and on the wood coop (the water is in the closed wooden coop)

?

thank you :)

Remove the ACV from the waterer, and fill it up. ACV will not keep the water from freezing anyway. If your lowest temp is 1 celsius, the water should be fine. I use those electric dog waterers as well inside my coop. But unless your temps get lower, you probably don’t need that. Have a nice trip.

Sorry my friends,
Im really mentally overloaded today, i spent a lot of time preparing things for the trip, and it is possible that i havent read well your messages.
Ill refill the waterer with normal water and give her the gabbage:)
Thank you very much, really:wee

Beautiful! I’m glad they are OK.

My neighbor gave me a great idea this weekend... something for you to keep in mind in the future if you ever do get freezing temperatures and need to leave your flock for a few days. There are portable solar panels and power sources (battery storage for the solar) that could be used to power a little pet heating pad. They only use something like 23 watts on the low setting. :)
