Illinois...

My dad says you need to rename him "chuckie".
:lau
What I think he really needs is a BIG backyard to run off all that energy. Hey, I've got it! YOU have a big backyard!
:frow

edit to add: Don't worry I wouldn't actually do that to you. Besides, I've already threatened to leave him with @chickendreams24 . Her Dane Bella and our Kepler would make quite the destructive duo.

One more thing....
The dog also learned that we don't always respond with his favorite game of "chase the dog" and/or tug-of-war. (We're trying not to react when he does naughty things for attention - like jumping on the sofa.) He has since learned to grab a knife (from the knife storage block) and run like crazy around the house. He likes to chew on the handles, so the blade is pointing out as he runs. The 1st time it was a dirty knife from the sink but he has since learned how to grab a clean one from the holder that sits in the far back corner of the kitchen counter.
OMG, you need to get a toy knife and a creepy killer costume and dress him for Halloween.
My Bull Terrier has some of the same problems your dog has. Everything is on her time, except she loves really really loves food and treats of any kind, including garbage. She also likes eating mail, her poop, nope she's not fussy, yuck. She steals shoes, socks slippers etc, but will only chew on them if we ignore her. She will shove it in your face to make sure we see what she has. If we ignore she starts chewing and ripping it. She's very smart but very very hard. Like a two year old. She turned 12 in July. She has slowed some and showing her age, but she has her times she still acts like that two year old. She isn't as bad as yours but close enough I really feel for you lol. Good luck. If he is anything like mine, he won't grow out of it.

Thankfully he won't try it while on a leash, so it hasn't happened in a while. There was nothing scarier than having a wild, energetic dog running around the house with a knife. We told the kids to NOT attempt taking it away and come get us. Nothing like hearing the kids call out, "MOM, the dog has a knife again!"
knives need to go in a drawn for now
you need to borrow my shock collar.. but he is probably smart enough to figure out when it's not on he can run amok

What a wonderful afternoon with Faraday40 and her kids. There was a lot of trampoline jumping, shooting arrows, pistols, rifles and fishing! Unfortunately we only caught 1 fish that was tiny. Feeding all the chickens bread and chasing down "bowling ball" lavender babies. Two magically found their way into the back of the car. I really hope they grow up to be good breeders! It was a really great time.
Going to starved rock tomorrow!

Oh, I'm sure I've got some great ones. I know I have a hilarious video of a lady running around, trying to catch a chicken with a fishing net. :gig (I just couldn't resist.)

Gotta get the kids off to bed, but I'll share some pics soon.

Had a fun visit with @homeschoolin momma. Everyone slept well that night.
