Hi all. I'm in Carlyle. Not too far from Highland or Nashville!!! I think the world is shrinking in....getting smaller & smaller every day. If anyone in the STL area has chickens, ducks or geese for sale, please let me know. I have wanted to expand my flock for quite sometime & thought that mother nature would naturally do this for me. I had 3 broody hens for almost 4 months, then since we've had this wonderful change of weather, everyone decided that its "mating time" and now I have fertile eggs, and no broody hen to take care of them. I don't have an incubator & I'm kind of scared to try it out for the first time. So....long story short, I would love to purchase or even take any unwanted poultry off of your hands. And I always, always, always promise that a bird will not end up on my table!!

Salutations! I hail from Roanoke Illinois...almost halfway between Bloomington and Peoria. I have 12 RIR 20 week old pullets that I am waiting to lay that 1st egg. No roosters...but would anyone in the area have a roo to spare? RIR, Delaware, Barred Rock, New Hampshire, etc? If so please let me know, I would so appreciate that.

Wished to have some roos but they are only Welsummers. They were already three months old.

No problem. Was just hoping I might find one before winter settles in. I am in the process of either buying or making an incubator but too late, I think, to try to hatch anything this year.

And thanks for the reply...I believed myself to be the only insomniac up playing on the 'puter...lol
