It was very nice meeting you also! Your daughter made me laugh when she said "That hen is mean to MY chickens!" Seems like she's gonna be a chicken person

She's so pretty! She wouldnt eat or drink anything though, but she was pecking around in the quaratine cage a little.
I'm hopeing to order some Ameraucana chicks next year so she will have her own flock to hang out with.
I will keep you updated on her!

She doesn't eat or drink a bit until she settles down. It's been stressful for her as well.

Yes, my daughter is a chicken person, she has her OWN chicken, that SSHB that she adores. I have a mind to take her to a professional photographer with her and Gretl. She loves that bird and I am sure she will be heartbroken if Gretl is gone...she is five years old and that is old for a chicken.

Enjoy her and hopefully you will find some pure Amerc flock because they are not easy to come by. I was just lucky to get some from Mike Gilbert (as it stated on the box). I thought she would get along with the bantams but when she found out she is bigger than them, boy, she won't let them come near her. She gets along with the LF with NO problems. I have too much of a docile flock of chickens and an aggressive hen or roo, they would just cower....such big babies!

I think it would be a great idea to take her to a photographer! I'm thinking about takeing my nephew to get a picture with his puppie. You would have saw my nephew, mom, and sister but they were at GodFathers pizza getting pizza to take home for supper.
I'm hopeing to order some Ameraucana chicks this fall to be shipped in the spring. I really wanna get some Whites!
She'll have her own flock soon!

She is a year old as Mike told me. Not two years old. I wished there is a true way of finding out how old the birds are...like the horse's teeth, cow's teeth but chickens don't have teeth LOL!

If she is older at two years old, I would be very upset with Mike.....very upset! Besides I can email you the information about the bird directly from Mike if you want it for your records before I delete them from my hotmail folder. Its one way of proving she is from his stock.
