We had predator problems late winter/early spring but it has died back now. First coyote, then fox, then racoons.

As for a get together ... we have one every year right around Father's Day. We're in the SE corner of Whiteside County. Maybe next year??

We didn't set out to annoy this neighbor. We had all these birds (as well as the pig pasture set up) long before they moved in. I'm still scratching my head how someone could buy a house, never look at it during the day and never knew they were buying right next to a working homestead. There are no trees at the property line, just a fence. They've been upset since day one because their dream of a Country McMansion on their 1/4 acre didn't include being next to a farm.

Isn't it a requirement for a Country McMansion on 1/4 acre to have a farm next to it ? I mean really? How can you have country without the acreage at least connected to yours?

These folks loved our birds when they had city guests over for a pool party on the weekends .... the guests were coaxing the birds over the fence with food. Neighbors were very upset when the birds came back on Monday to get more food.

Last year, they shot fireworks at the horses and cows. I put the animals in a secured pasture away from these neighbors this year so they shot their fireworks OVER our barn this year!

Well darnit! I'm not getting the Guineas I wanted!

They sold out of them for the rest of the hatching season... *Sigh*

But I did call the Peafowl Breeder about 5 miles away to see if they have any peachicks for sale!

I'm hopeing they will call back since I left a message!

Fireworks are illegal here in the communist state of Illinois! You should have 911 on super speed dial call next year! They could burn your animals or barn and a case can at least be made for torturing confined animals.
