We thinks its Coryza (I think I spelled that right.) Dang wild birds!
The problem is I want them all!
those wild birds!
Never had it so I can not tell you exactly the symptoms, either can I from MS/MG because I don't have them in my flock or nor my flock ever experience it. I am certain ONE day, one wild sick bird will come in and sicken my birds and I would be royally ticked if it ever happen. Thank God, I have netting on my runs, that keeps them out but the very air they breathe in, ugh.
Could it be the recent chicks you got may have been carriers? One little thing can set the flock on fire in no time and there is nothing you could have done to stop it at that point and hope for survivors if you decide to keep them. I had a friend that lost ALL of her flock from Coryza, from one bird she brought back from a show and it was a very miserable time for her. She hadn't had any chickens since then.
