During incubation I aim for 35-40% but 30-45% is the usual swing. I use DS's home made cooler-bator because it can hold 5 doz eggs. Humidity on the lower end works better for me during incubation, then crank it up for the hatch. (Well, don't make it rain in the incubator, but you know what I mean.)

I moved the eggs to the NR360 for hatching. When I fill both channels of the little incubator the humidity is 70-75%. There are turkey eggs in the big cooler-bator and a friend wants me to slip her quail eggs in there too. Then, I'll be getting some @homeschoolin momma 's duck eggs. Yes, multiple incubators going to handle the staggered hatches.

Yes, the manual kind of egg turning. It is a neat inky and amazingly accurate and great hatch rate!

I've been in my house for almost 18 years and have had dogs the entire time and not once has any of them had tick issues. Until now. The 2 puppies both tested positive for lyme. They would have had to pick it up in the yard because they don't go anywhere else. So now I have ticks I guess. Gross!!

I’ve heard guineas eat ticks.
Of course that could lead to your 1st neighbors’ complaint in 18 years.

Sorry you’re dealing with Lyme disease. My SIL had a bad case for years before it was diagnosed. Glad you caught it early

He wanted to add an automatic turner but building one from scratch was complicated and buying one and cutting it to fit was over his grant budget.

Instead it’s the cut egg carton on a tube. A gentle rock and 1 doz eggs turned at once. 5 doz are turned in about 30 seconds. .... Plus that method doesn’t take up much space, so his mom can fit 5 egg cartons across.

All 24 turkey eggs look like developing. Two don’t look the same. Not as much veining- but not clear either. It’s too early to tell. The shipped eggs still have loose air cells; 10 clearly have veins.
