Illinois...

For those in the area. Rosati's is having a CELEBRATION 60 years.
This coming Tuesday.
I plan on celebrating with them. Of course I intend to purchase additional pizzas at regular price,, but this sounds like a fun.

the local fb group was saying the closest wasn't in on it. Someone said there is 2 Rosati's and ours is not the same

I passed on Rosati's, because too busy with things around the house. I figured there would be a lot of peeps there anyways. :old
So was experimenting today. Never made an Upside-down cake before. This is maiden voyage for this one.
Peach upside-down cake. Had one fresh peach, and a can of sliced peaches. Turned out good.

This is after 40 minutes baking.

I waited to somewhat cool off, and I flipped it.

Maybe I got a little froggy, and flipped it too soon. Cake dough did compress some from the weight of fruit when overturned. Cake is about 1½ inches high. Was somewhat thicker before flipping over.
Next time, I am thinking of using yeast raised dough. :idunno
And letting cake cool longer before flipping.
The taste is quite good.:drool:drool:drool
