Illinois...

We are having our third annual Coup du Jour tour in southern Illinois. There are about a dozen chicken coups on the tour this year (including mine). From small coops to more elaborate setups, it is fun to see how people are raising their chickens and how innovative they are with their buildings.
It is from 1-5 pm on sunday June 3. Make a day of it in southern Illinois. Here are some links.

Wish I had known about this about a month ago! I would have been able to get everything together and drive the 2 hours down there but alas didn't hear about it till now..

A friend of mine wants to sell a pair of bantam cochins. They are culls from a Mille Fleur Cochin project another BYCer was working on. She got them last summer. Here is a picture I took right after she got them. $15.00 for the pair. Pick-up or I can bring them to Cyndi's Homestead Open House on Saturday, June 23.

Anyone in Western IL interested in free French Blue Maran roosters? I hatched them last August. Beautiful markings. Wish I could keep them but have too many roos.
