Illinois...

I should have guinea eggs from this point until fall, probably get 4-6 a day as an estimate... I just need a few days notice to set some aside for hatching as I generally hard boil and recycle them back to the birds every week... Or I could incubate and hatch out keets as well...

Kankakee might be a little far for them to drive, but if they another reason to head up north it might work, I'm in the Gurnee area so it's quite a drive... I could also ship but the trouble to ship combined with the extra cost and lower hatch rate likely is not worth it unless they can't find any locally....

I will let her know. If she is interested, I will put the 2 of you in touch with each other. She has just started back up with chickens, ducks and goats(which are absolutely adorable and just had some babies). She is looking for some guinea to help control ticks and snakes, she is heavily wooded where she is at. Thanks!!

Update- She found some, but she said Thanks!

The neighbors dogs got out again yesterday.

This poor leghorn got the worst injuries. I brought her in and am making sure she is comfy. But she is not looking so perky today. (adrenaline wore off maybe)

The pups got her hip area under her wings. Her eyes are dilated. She eats and drinks a little when prompted. Any tips or suggestions?

Keep her dark and in a quiet area if possible. She needs major rest. Got any bounce back or soluble electrolytes? Can usr Gatorade or pedialite if you have it. Is she bleeding? Looks like she has an open wound under he wing. Have any bloodstop powders?

I will make a sugar/salt solution for her. There is blood on her feathers, but there was/is no active bleeding. I have some styptic powder and pencil, but was not using it as there wasn't anything dripping.

I had a buff orp that got it good too, but it looks to be mostly feathers removed.

***UPDATE****
She is drinking up the sugar/salt solution on her own.
