Deal is done....I got two hens (well pullets) ....black...sex-link....from tractor supply's assorted box? They don't look quite like my other black sex-link....but close. One has grey legs, the other yellow, both have a java like head? One has a larger comb than the other right now.
It is so easy to ship chicks, Ive done a few shippings on my own here in IL and out of state. For Illinois, you need to get a USPS approved poultry carrier which on Eggbid, for $7.00 plus shipping. Call your post office or the nearest big PO town and get the time you want your chicks to ship from Crystal Lake to Dwight. Pack all of them in the box with shavings and some fruits such as cut up apples and grapes.
I can say it will get there less than 24 hours. That is how long it took me to ship birds to a friend of mine in Essex, then the town across that. They are pretty fast. At any delays, it sould not take more than two days. Or a much faster to Springfield because alot of the mails come flying in from Chicago to Springfield.
