Illinois...

I'm a believer in science... and there is no science to back up any success stories with using it.

Could you explain a little more in depth? What does DE stand for? What is it used for? I get the glass part.

DE stands for diatomaous earth (spelling?). Diatoms are a small organism that once dead leaves behind a sand-like exoskeleton. DE is the exoskeleton and is used in everyday abrasives and even tooth paste. Some people believe it has healing powers against parasites and illness. I use it as an alternative to grit and mix it in with dirt to make a nice bathing area for my chickens.

By the way, silicon may be the main element in DE, but it's also in a lot of things including lubricants. Are lubricants glass? No...

Toothpaste: If you would read the bottle, you'd see that it's not recommended to consume it.

Posting here to let my Illinois peeps know I am selling my Farm Master cabinet incubator for $200.00 OBO. I bought it two years ago from a local farmer who had not used it in "a few years". Has a wafer thermostat,no turners (has the original trays that have a metal slide that rolls the eggs in the trays) and the water tray was missing when I got it. Runs great. Holds temps and humidity great. I'll send pics if anyone is interested.
