Just some pics of my growing cockerels:

The 2 pics above are of the blue

Here is the mauve-Saleem

Chocolate

& chocolate cuckoo.

You've got the cockerels, & I've got the pullets. Love that Choc Cuckoo. Sadly I'll only have one boy next spring. I'm still upset about the loss of my Bielefelder roo.

Here's a lav orp (Sweetie) & a blk/lav split (Lady McBawk).

The split has not made an egg yet, but all of the other April pullets are laying.
I really enjoy the round basketball-like shape.

Here's Cuddles. She's back to normal in personality, eating, drinking, etc. Now the poor girl is molting, but she's still the 1st one to greet me in the morning.

Tail-less chicken are so funny-looking - especially since I'm not used to seeing her shanks. Her "bloomers" are missing!

Princess lay-a is no longer bald.

I will have to post my group. My phone won't let me post all the pics.

This is Coco above, the oldest out of the bunch. She is about 21 weeks and the others are 18 weeks tomorrow
Sophia is the black and Francesca the blue.

Above is Crazy Toes, he is the one with bad feet. But such a kind roo.
Below is Thor and Al. Al is still limping a bit, but doing much better.

Just loving the Orpington breed and so glad there is such a variety. I do have my partridge, GL, and splash coming up also. I love all your pics @Faraday40 and @Junibutt , and everybody loves that cuckoo Junibutt!

Nice pullets. Love the sheen on the black. I have to take pics of mine as well. I have a chocolate, a cuckoo and a mauve.
And yeah the cuckoo cockerel is very majestic, he is not averse to humans but not as friendly as the mauve.(Maybe because I got him when he was a week old already)

Nice. If you, me and @Faraday40 can collaborate, we could have one of the best Orpingtons in Chicagoland:)))

P.S. Are you sure "Crazy toes" is chocolate, he is looking more mauve to me?

And I said the same thing in the spring. Between the 3 of us, it will be Orpington Central here in Chicago, lol. I am also getting those spangled Orp chicks next spring, if you have a mottled, I would love to cross the 2 for some spangled mottles. Then take one of those hens back to my Blue Orp.

No Crazy Toes is blue, almost identical to Thor. Might be the lighting. But I do have to say Francesca's who I think is a light blue, has me taking double looks all the time. Here is another pic of her front. I might need to get a better pic.

I can't wait to find out how my blacks from Faraday40 will turn out super exciting. ;) I'm also still working on getting more pics for you Faraday40 sorry I've been slacking been quite the week here. Today my allergies are so bad it looks like I'm crying as my eyes are watering down my face and I can barely see plus they itch and hurt. Ugh. Still not 100% sure on sexes obviously but I'm still hoping for just the two little cockerals. Also I think the little EE pullet is getting a little crest. I'll have to get a picture of that for you. Also the little white one still has some black feathers. I'm sorry hoping it's a pullet. Her white doesn't seem as bright almost more of a cream but perhaps I imagined it lol.
Very excited that their quarantine is over half over. Should only be one more week. Obviously they're not ready to be outside full time but it will be nice to give them some time with probably the silkie flock to begin with. And my two little black oegb are dieing to meet them. Lol they're in a brooder in the sun porch too and are so curious who else is peeping. :)

She is gorgeous. She is blue, just a little lighter shade. She is an excellent candidate to be bred with a mauve or chocolate for more mauve or with a chocolate cuckoo for mauve cuckoos.

Unfortunately, on second thought, I will have to let go of my chocolate soon. I will still have the mauve & the cuckoo which can produce so much better outcomes. So if you know anyone who is interested, please send them my way. I will probably make a listing on craigslist once I can take a better picture.

I am keeping blue for now, just so see how big he gets.

Mauve x Chocolate = 50% choc and 50% mauve
