Woke up to the neighbors husky dogs running through the yard.

One chicken dead.

30 minutes of chasing pups around. Covered in mud, feathers and fur all before 8am

Horrible way to wake up in the morning. Sorry, hope the day gets better for you!

Well it is still a gamble . The second set went to Alaska with special handling . Arrived with box in perfect shape . 7 of 12 broken . Bubble wrapped and box in a box . Resending with bubble wrapped in a plastic Easter egg . I am sure I could have kicked that first package down the driveway and not broke an egg .

I should have opened some windows on the coop last nite. When I went to let them out this morning, it was so warm and humid inside the coop. And now I have a couple of girls sneezing. There is a first time for everything, unfortunately. Kicking myself hard! I started them on some Denaguard this morning in their water, anything else?

This is a good article, and making me think. The couple that are sneezing are the ones I got as chicks from a reputable breeder. I hope its just a common sinus problem from not opening any windows.

It's the same neighbor guy's dogs that got in the fence last year and chewed off tails from two birds. This year the dog is smarter and showed the pups.
