Illinois...

You don't want her to have just one chick, nor do you want 12 more beaks to feed.
Sky and the lav BB each had only 1 chick make it. They both seem content with their 1. The lav is done with hers after only 4 weeks. Poor chick just keeps following her around. I'm waiting until fan head is done with hers so I can sell the chicks together. (Both are Ee's that I don't want)

. If she is in a nest box that is frequently used by others, it would be worth the effort to move her. If left, the eggs may be broken by too much traffic in the nest.
I had to move mine to the extra bins in the garage once the spitzies were done. The poor orps broodies were getting kicked out, or trampled with hens invading the nest. Smooshed eggs, you name it, it was happening.

its probably a good idea to separate her, back into the garage
Yes, it probably is. But it's not like she's going to be doing anything except sitting on the eggs, so really not a lot of extra work. And she'll take care of the baby when it omes.

I had poult looking like coccidiosis at lock up. Gave him corid, but dead this morning. Of course he was the biggest, he was going to my cousin for Thanksgiving.
Everything now has corid .... first year I lost half my poults from it.

Also got another raccoon, 18 so far. They were what happened to the poults this year. I have 7 poults left and 2 hens on nests, 2 more laying.

and maybe 7 chicken just went broody

Should I separate my broody?
What would be the best method of integrating the chicks into the flock? Let the chicken show them or introduce them later?
My gold comets are somewhat aggressive.
I've tried to introduce my Brahmas and the rest of the flock is a bit harsh with the pecking order, borderline mean (only the comets). Just wondering if it will go better with the comet mom introducing.

Cant really help you since I never had chicks hatch in my flock, You will get good advice from the peeps that have. But since you did mention some aggression in your flock, you may consider having some of this product on hand. DD sent me a pix of this , and asked if I would want some. Fortunately, I have no aggression in my pet flock, but thought of passing on this info here to those that can benefit from this.

I was under the impression that coccidiosis was something that they would develop immunity to once past the critical chick period.??? :idunno
I thought by 8 wks they would be immune too. I suppose it could be something else... I will know if the corid don't work

Cocci may be more prevalent this year. Has anyone else had cases?

Three days ago I noticed what looked like bloody poops in a brooder (with hen). No other symptoms, but I put some Corid in the water anyway. Last night one chick looked a little slowed, so I'm glad I acted when I did. So far, all are alive and the smallest one is still eating - drinking. They'll need another 2 days of meds, and then we'll see how the little one is.

This is the 1st time I ever saw the typical bloody stools of Cocci. I've only given Corid a few times (out of hundreds of chicks hatched over 8 years). Each time I was never fully sure if it was cocci or just me being cautious. This year I'm pretty sure I saw bloody poops for 2 days, and now those are gone. They are with a broody hen, which is supposed to give them more immunity. (With so many broody hens here, I rarely raise chicks without one.) Perhaps the wet spring and current heat are conditions in which cocci can thrive. Does anyone know?

Earlier this week & last week we had more flies than usual.

Faraday I have seen tons of flies last few weeks. Wish I had the cicadas you guys had.

Found a good article here for broody hen so hopefully a dozen questions you guys don't have to answer lol.
I caught then hen eating and numbered all 7 eggs. Added some straw because she was almost on wood.the eggs should certainly be fertile, I see the bullseye on almost all eggs I eat. But being my first hatch (and hers) I expect a roughly 60% survival. I am going to leave her in the flock and just remove eggs every 2 or 3 days.

After 3 days I doubt if you will want to eat them.... they will be fine to eat but you will see development if you look close
