@homeschoolin momma
Thank you for collecting lint for DS. His lint ball penguin got a blue ribbon & class champion. :lau :lau :lau

So far DS is cleaning up. He earned all blue ribbons and multiple grand champion rosettes. Like Christmas morning, he was running to each of his categories to see how he did. He will have to decide which project to bring to state.

The big 3 are
vet sci (how shipping affects hatch rate of eggs),
poultry sci (Poultry Collection Connections)
or computer sci (the video game he coded "Triangle Trouble")

Good job!

My stinking puppies got out and tormented the chickens again!! They've been doing so well and I don't know what got into them. They threw themselves at the sliding patio door and got out while the ladies and I were gardening. Luckily, I was able to get them before they did any damage but there's a lot of feathers in the yard and 12 chickens with zero interest in coming out of the run the rest of the day. The puppies are so fast and the birds get flappy which makes them look even more fun to chase. Back to square one! I don't think they are ever going to earn their chicken merit badges.

Dog I had that would chase the wild turkeys and such...
I trained with a shock collar when I got poultry.

Congratulations 🎉
Did they have poultry there? Or was it zoom?
For each bird he submitted a 60 sec video and photo - 2 weeks ago.

Only eggs were brought to fairground. After the egg judging, Judge met with each class and talked about what she liked about the birds then awarded the ribbons. The ribbons were pinned up to the photos. After all the birds were judged she interviewed each kid individually to access poultry knowledge. DS won the Showmanship award.

You are probably familiar with the Garden of the Gods just a stone throw south of you, I first visited, explored, and camped in Southern Ill. about 30 years ago. Beautiful county.
There are many Illinois peeps here on this thread. There are a few from the south as well,,, although they do not post often.
That does not mean that they don't read the posts.
:welcome and Illinois thread.:highfive:
