The 3 Wise men 😂 on their way.

Going to be house chickens for the next 6 weeks or is someone broody?
This was an unauthorized hatching. I found eggs under Popcorn (broody Serama hen). I candled and removed clears and quitters. All 3 of the developing eggs hatched. I like how I have one chick of each color. Who knows, they could even be Teddy's babies. Since they're Serama chicks and it's below freezing, they will get a week inside so I can make sure they're thriving. (Seramas are a bit more fragile than regular chicks)

Meanwhile, Peanut is also broody. I marked the eggs under her but she just started sometime after Christmas. Truffle is also acting broody, but if she sticks to it, she'll just have to share. I really don't want a lot of chicks in January. I just finished getting my numbers down for winter!

And mine stopped laying the end of October.... Until a pullet started a couple weeks ago. 2 pullets and 1 hen are laying now. 🤔
