It's nice to see some new faces here in IL. How has everyone enjoyed this winter??? I know I am ready for the bitter colds snaps to be over.

These bitter cold snaps are brutal! I did make the chickens some warm oatmeal this morning, and again before they went up to roost. They loved it! It's their favorite part of winter for sure. I'm just thinking warmer thoughts and looking forward to getting some more hens this spring. But first I think I need to get rid of some roosters.

Me, too, EweSheep!! I'm bundling up with my Walls when it gets cold, and putting on my muckers when it thaws. I don't know what's worse. Somehow, I've managed NOT to get sick this winter....YET. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! Can't WAIT for mowing/planting/riding (my horses) season!!!!!!!

I know ALL my animals are ready. Tonight it is sizzling 4 degrees. I would welcome 30 with open arms. Doing chores with numb fingers is not fun.

Made it to Denver. Last night my wife said we had 4 and a half inches of snow.
