Illnesses and Defects

Yokohama is a beautiful breed, and if you give them some room to run like zrcarlo does they typically wont fight much. where we live fighting is illegal and my wife is one of those people who runs customers off when they bring it up. for that reason we don't raise standard sized game breeds, kind of keeps the problem at bay LOL.

if you did go with a game breed however bantam or otherwise, if you have 2 roosters that fight; the solution is as easy as caging one rooster. typically if you separate them for a day or 2 they will stop (if your letting them free range). and im not sure what they have where you live, but its always easy to have some antiseptic spray, even if you don't raise game breeds.

Thanks again, Brian.

Our birds have plenty of space in which to spread their wings and feed. I imagine that Yokohamas wold have to be cooped at night.

Now, where to find Yokohamas in Thailand? Google has come up with nothing so I must post on the local community forums.

The antiseptic spray is a good idea and I'll look for a supply. Locals use iodine. Also, the vets. out here are very cheap so I don't mind taking injured birds there.

Many thanks.

I've Googled various phrases but no specialist breeder have turned up yet. I'll get there in the end.
