Feel free to remove the Investigating prefix if it's not relevant.

I make a lot of micro changes to my articles. Fixing typos, changing a word or formatting here or there, adding hyperlinks, etc. One of them triggered the "Updated" status, which seems to push it up in the queue as "new". I really don't want to do this because that would be very annoying for everyone else, given how often I tinker.

I'm guessing it was caused by adding (and subsequently deleting) a page. Are there any other actions that trigger an article to update?

Maybe this?

I don't think you're alone. I see these two updated today. I rated them previously, so they for sure aren't new to me.

I didn't even bother checking or unchecking anything when I tagged you in my mouse deterrent article, nor when I deleted your tag. Did mine show up in the New Articles too? I didn't notice.

I didn't check, but I should have!

Wish I could find a way around this. I was planning to add another page to my member page, and it would be nice if I could prevent it from jumping to the top as "new".

I think it would still be up there if it was never viewed by you. I'll do it again and we'll see.

Nope. Not in new. Interesting!
That's odd how mine doesn't, but those two examples I showed, plus your own, show up in New Articles. Those two possibly checked the box though.

Just as a note: I made sure to do the edits as the author and not as a moderator.

It has to be triggered by me adding pages. What stinks is I don't have a lot of options in the Manage Pages section. Certainly nothing for publishing as a silent update. I'm so sorry if it bumps it to "new" again, but hopefully this will be the last time.

I'm also confused why the Chicken & Duck name article got flagged as "updated", since it looks to be mostly text. Like I said, I change small things in mine all the time, and they appear to hold their original publish date.
