The first three nights mine were in the coop ,I almost had an anxiety attack!
They carried on like mad! I felt HORRIBLE! But,my husband reminded me that they have to be chickens....so I walked slowly away and left them...in the dark....
On the third night, they all went in on their own and each night the panic got better...
Better for me as well! The first time we had a thunderstorm though, I wanted to bring them in and never let them out again! But...I remained steadfast in my resolve to allow them to be chickens and lo and behold...they are slowly becoming chickens!Now I just close the door and do a headcount. I hate to think how I'm gonna react when it gets cold....
