Nice picks! And I know the feeling about the nanny cam! I was actually speculating about getting another camera for my fancy smancy baby monitor to watch my chicks. Then I saw the price tag and figured I could just check on them a lot.

One more! He/she has some deformed toes (they're all curved), but I read that I may be able to splint and fix them, so I apparently have some shopping and work to do. Splinting will have to wait until he can come out of the incubator though. I also had another external pip about 4 hours ago, but nothing else. Nobody else is making any sound or anything, but for my first attempt I'm calling this a success! I still haven't slept today, but I did the first night. So glad I have nothing to do today HA!

I would love to have an IP webcam, but the $$ prevent.
Check the RaspberryPi. $25 SOC computer, soon to have a $25 camera add-on. Will need a USB wi-fi dongle

I settled for a Walmart indoor-outdoor thermometer with the outdoor unit placed in the center of the light circle.
I check it all day long from my easy chair. Too hot? Run out and open the top a bit. The garage has been chilly - cools quickly.
