Im a new guy got in deep dont knw what i got

Any way to knw for sure they cornish?

If in two weeks they have almost doubled in size then you have Cornish for certain! If you plan on butchering (and I would highly suggest it with Cornish) You should get them on a meat bird/game bird feed (high protein for fast growth). There are lots of links on butchering if you are new to it. You might look around at other breeds before you decide on RIR, they are good layers, but hatchery stock can be aggressive. If all you want is eggs you might look into a sex-link they come in different colors and are typically friendly, and are laying machines! There are many great breeds out there, good luck!

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Here is our What Breed section for a good ID....

If these are meat birds, they are meant to be butchered at 2 months or so. Generally they are not kept for pets or eggs.

Good luck and welcome to our flock!

Meat birds are bred to grow very fast so they can be slaughtered early. They practically eat themselves to death to support explosive growth. Sadly, if they aren't butchered early they don't live very long - because their growth surpasses the capacity of their heart, lungs, other organs. So it is a kindness to process them.

Not your fault, next you can get some other type of chickens. Welcome to BYC.
