First off, I'm so glad I found this website!!!!! Last night I had a really important question and I got it answered right away!!!! Thanks so much!

I'm a new chicken owner, and my chicks are two weeks old. I am pretty sure they are Rhode Island Reds, and they are the cuttest little furballs ever!!! They all can fly, so they frequently get out of the box I am keeping them in. (If you know a way I can keep them inside and prevent this, please let me know!!)

I love my chickens, and I gave them all names and I know who is who. Their names are Nugget, Taco, KFC, Rosie, and Bailey. I know, it was mean of me to name them Nugget, KFC, and Taco.... but I thought it was cute

I have made do with a window screen over top before I am not sure if that will work for your set up ..

Thanks :) And I bet that will work!!! Thanks so much! Also, I was wondering if anyone knows how much an average 2 week old chick is supposed to eat? Because mine seem to be eating A LOT of food.
 
Some Sure can ! I fill a Feeder and keep it full .. they eat drink poop and sleep then they turn around and eat drink poop and sleep all day long ! I am pretty sure eating is a Chickens main thought all day .. <3 I would Definitely NOT Ration them and I would most certainly keep Fresh Food and water available 24- 7 for several weeks . ~ Corinne
 
Okay, that makes sense. I have five of them and between them, I have to refill their food bowl about five times a day! Thanks for your help! Everyone is so nice here! :)
