Hello and welcome to BYC So happy you have joined our flock.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I grew up on a farm and had chickens. Later in life I had a small flock with my son's. Starting another flock with my partner.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
33

(3) What breeds do you have?
Two barnyard roosters, four barnyard hens, one Opal Legbar and twenty-six chicks from Rural King. Chicks are Rhode Island Reds, Easter Eggers, White Leghorns, Golden Comets,
Silver Laced Wyandottes, Black Australorps, Lavender Orpington, Cream Legbars, Partidgw Rocks, Ameracaunas

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Feeding them, petting them, looking at them and the anticipation of eggs of various colors and new chicks.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Hiking, aquariums, terrariums

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have three sons and a partner. I have two Australian Shepherds, a tabby cat and some guppies.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I found BYC while doing an Internet search. I've known about BYC for about five minutes. I joined because after reading several identification threads I thought I might get some ideas on the genetics of my barnyard roosters and hens.
