Besides chickens what's a good small ish farm animal that's kinda cheap does any one have ideas?

Rabbits. We used to raise Netherland Dwarf rabbits and sell them to the local pet stores. They were so easy to raise that my 13 year old daughter (at that time) completely took over the raising of them on her own.
