I'm a newbie!

Hi, my husband and I decided to raise our own chickens. Mostly for the eggs but we have had so much fun building the coop and playing with the baby chicks that the eggs will be like the cherry on top! We live in a typical suburban California neighborhood, except that some neighbors have chickens, goats, sheep and Pygmy horses. I guess it's not that typical. We look forward to learning from everyone here on the site!

Welcome to BYC from Wisconsin. Nice job with the coop. You can never go wrong with the "Purina" design. It aslo seems have been renamed the "Wichita Cabin Coop" because years back someone from BYC posted the build on-line. I have one... yours is more colorful.
