Just realized that the JG comment was made by a different person about a different bird... I just wasn't paying attention. The roo in question still wouldn't be an Araucana though since it isn't rumpless or tufted. I'm sticking with EE.

He's a very handsome easter egger rooster. I have a similar looking guy, might be brothers.

Side comment - When I read the name Pat, I couldn't help but think of the SNL skit.

Oh, I made a mistake! I thought ozark said it was a jersey giant. It does look like an Easter Egger to me.

He is not an Ameraucana or an Araucana. He is an Easter Egger and a BEAUTIFUL one at that. I think that a good way to tame him is to treat him like a bird you are going to show. Train him to show. I have an article on it, let me look for it and I will post it.

Just Hatched, true Araucana can be tailed but the tailed birds are not usually kept by breeders. You can breed them to get some rumpless offspring but most do not use them.
