I've been there, it's a terrible feeling.

I did this very same thing the first time I incubated chicken eggs. In my case, it was EE eggs, impossible to candle, I was sure they were all dead, and the last one was a perfect little chick.

Now my rule is, don't toss it out unless you're sure it's completely clear or it stinks!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your little chick.

Awwww. You must feel awful. Don't beat yourself up too bad...you assumed since the first 4 were duds, 5th would be too. Perfectly logical. I did this same thing except I was fortunate enough to have one more left to NOT break into. That one is starting lockdown tomorrow actually.
