also suggested to see an avian vet which is no where near here...non existence.....SO how can I find out what is wrong......????
Do you think I want to medicate them??? I dont even take an aspirin myself...
They are clearly having a problem.. there must be some at home testing kits to send to a lab....

Will you at least de worm them? Or is that chemical no good for them too?

The healthy organic soy free feed and holistic natural cures don't seem to have worked at all so far.. so its time to try something different.

You should NEVER treat and medicate for diseases or sicknesses that you don't know the chickens actually have!!! Unless you know what exactly is wrong you can't hope to help them like that.. and it will do the birds more harm than good.. and waste you time and money.. while the birds will get sicker and sicker.

Its like you having malaria and the doctor just guessing you have ear ache and giving your antibiotics... you wont' get better!

If this organic and natural way of doing things is so good.... then why are your birds so sick and have some many health problems?

You have not even taken a poop sample to a vet to check for worms?

Once your birds are better you can go back to that feed.. and use the natural holistic treatments as a preventative to disease.

I just can't understand why you won't even trial changing the food? Its not toxic! What's more important.. your living chickens or so nice idea you have about not using any commercial feed or medications?
 
PLEASE>>>> I did take a sample to local vet.. supposedly nothing.. But I asked HUbby to "Valzaben" them tonight...anyway... He did.. Last Valzaben was late August...
I am going to start doing more of my own grain, seeds mixes again.. They prefer them. Others on this forum are doing their own feed and quite a bit of them say things are fine...
Cause I believe Baby Girl got hold of something or drank from old or ate something old she found...
Plus Like I mentioned mice are abound and wild birds...are getting into their dishes even during the day...
Plus I truly believe its also those microscopic mites... They are still a scratching and losing more feathers and DANDER out of this world...
What holistic treatments....??? not really tried those but I intend to. Just like others do on here...
You call Garlic holistic...???? Even "Bell and Evans is doing the OIL of oregano in their poultry
Plus should I just have let Baby Girl continue having explosive diaherea???? I should have isolated her sooner...
So if one of them passes then I hope to have a necopsy>>>done....then if they all die then my chicken days are done forever.... I am doing the best I can

I haven't read through all the posts so please forgive me if its already been tried. If you think there may be a parasite problem, mites or something like that, you could try pour on ivermectin at 1/2cc/bird, apply it between their wings where they won't be able to reach it. For general health try adding 2 tablespoons ACV/gallon of water in their drinking water. If you are finding undigested grain in their poop, they need more grit. If they are molting or their feathers aren't in good condition, make sure they are getting enough protein. Cheap cat food is something most chickens gobble right up and is high in protein. Any time you eat fish- give them the left overs. If you do an online search, there are a lot of herbs that are good for chickens that you can grow. I feed fermented grains & sunflower seeds and add calf manna and brewers yeast before feeding, I have a mixed flock and everything loves it. Good luck

Like I've said, if you post a picture of the birds with feather lose, we can tell you if it's normal molting or if there is something wrong.

Since you've refused to try anything that has been suggested and keep doing the same thing for weeks now and the chickens don't like the food you feed (your words) and aren't getting better, I have to assume that you really don't want help, just more medications. You're so concerned about "junk" chicken feed but you don't seem to mind over medicating your chickens. I find that very confusing. You hate "soy" but medicate like crazy. Maybe they're having a reaction to all the medicines that you've given them. Their intestines are probably stripped of all they need to poo normally. I can only assume at this time that you're going to continue doing it your way and if they all die "so be it" you've done it your way.
 
If you really want an answer, take one or more to one of the labs in KY. I think one is 90 minutes from you, the other is 2 hours.

I called one of the state labs and you have to go thru a VET.....even for an autopsy. I called and talked to a DR there and you CAN NOT bring in a sample etc yourself... She talked to me over 1/2 hr. while ago ... You have to go thru a vet for everything. Everybody wants a piece of the pie. and the cheapest a necropsy would be starts at $70. she is supposed to get back to me about finding a vet close to one of the three collages of Agriculture I mean Veterinary medical schools

and I don't OVER MEDICATE. You call giving a wormer dose and a dose of TYlan for a period of time OVER MEDICATING ??? and Corrid was prescribed by a vet?????? wow . I guess that comes from skimming thru posts.... whatever.
my chickens would eat those pellets? duh..... unless they were starving and locked up.. maybe....

Please don't take this the wrong way but,
You are using way too much medication on these poor hens. If they aren't eating their food they may not be getting enough protein, so that results in them becoming "cannibalistic" such as picking feathers. Because of deficiencies, they may be having strange poop. Please switch to a different feed, it can still be organic and soy free, but maybe one with more protein. Also, it would be helpful to take pictures of their legs, feathers, and entire bodies. Thank you for listening,
